Mānuka Honey is world renowned for its unique properties. It has a characteristically rich flavour, golden amber colour and thick jelly like texture which makes it distinct from any other honey found in the world. In late spring, early summer, the Mānuka tree is covered in masses of flowers. Bees visit these flowers to collect nectar and produce New Zealand's most famous honey. Mānuka honey is a very smooth, dark and intense honey with caramel and toffee flavours. Mānuka is available in a number of grades, the higher the grade of Mānuka the scarcer the supply.

The unique attributes of Mānuka honey are the driving force behind this special honey's popularity worldwide. As a result, the demand for Manuka honey has grown internationally and is used in many different capacities.

The UMF trademark on our Mānuka labels indicate the grade of Mānuka we are packaging. Each batch of Mānuka honey is tested by an independent accredited laboratory to certify the quality of the honey and the grade of Mānuka. Check out the UMF link here for information on the grading system.
